SUMMER CAMPS

We will have a range of options for your STEAM-powered summer this year. Challenger summer camps are a great way for students to enjoy summer while learning important STEAM concepts!

In-person summer camps will take place throughout June and July for ages 5-16.

DETAILS:

• All camps are held from 10AM - 3PM at the Challenger Learning Center.

• A light lunch will be provided - feel free to pack your own!.

• Cost is $30 per day unless otherwise noted.

MIT SUMMER WORKSHOPS

MIT Students will visit the Challenger Center to hold STEM workshop with middle and high school students this summer!

This is a great opportunity for young students to interact with MIT undergraduates and take part in fun, educational workshops!

At the The Challenger Learning Center of Kentucky

Known as the SPOKES program, these students bicycle across the country making just 10 stops along the way. The Challenger Center is proud to have been a SPOKES stop since 2015.

DESTINATION SPACE

Destination Space is a four-day workshop where students work with real NASA and NOAA engineers to learn all about satellites and weather.

Participants will learn soldering, circuit design, research methodology, and climate science while they design and build their own weather monitoring station.

The event culminates with the launch of the stations on a high-altitude weather balloon!
